6X6 4 PEACE Movement
Since 2003, Artists for World Peace has been changing lives around the world through the arts. In 2017, we launched our 6x6 4 PEACE MOVEMENT. We invited artists to create and donate a painting on a 6”x6” stretched canvas. We have been exhibiting these works of art on our PEACE WALL, which has been traveling for the past 10 years. Any painting is available for a $50+ donation to AFWP. To date, over 4,000 artists have been exhibited on our PEACE WALL, where we welcome ALL races, religions, nationalities, genders and political affiliations.
In 2020, we hosted our first Virtual PEACE WALL Show, which featured hundreds of artists from around the world in an online auction. This was critical in helping our work during COVID—allowing us to continue to provide education, homes, warm clothes, art supplies, and more for our communities in Tanzania, on Rosebud Reservation in South Dakota, for tribal nations living in Connecticut and Rhode Island and for our neighbors in Middletown, CT.
We’re co-hosting a public event on May 16th, 2026, in our hometown of Middletown, CT, to showcase how our work has changed lives through our Free NATIVE EYES Clinics; providing eye care to those most in need. This work is possible, in part, because of artists who have donated a painting to our traveling PEACE WALL. We are also grateful to our two main sponsors: Padre Pio Foundation of America and Changing Lives Through Lenses, the humanitarian arm of Essilor Foundation.
We would love to receive a painting by May 1st, to be showcased on our PEACE WALL at this event to help us raise funds for our upcoming Children’s Clinic on Rosebud Reservation in South Dakota.
