We’d like to update our sponsors and supporters on the latest from our PEACE HOUSE in Tanzania. Since 2014, with the generosity of hundreds of artists, musicians, and our circle of supporters we have raised all of the money needed to:

—Purchase the 2+acre farm for our Children of Peace family

—Our boys literally built a road leading to our farm, which took six months to complete.

—Build a beautiful, safe stone wall around 2/3 of the property, keeping our children, our home and gardens safe. It is not that the village is unsafe. It is just that there is so much extreme poverty in many parts of the country that petty theft is common. Food is often stolen as well as basic necessities such as clothing hanging on the clothes line to dry, or hand tools from a tool shed.

—The home we are building for all of our children should be completed toward the end of summer this year.

—Musa was able to have both electricity and water brought onto our land, without paying any bribes! That boy is truly a miracle worker, and gets things done through kindness and honesty.

We are now at the point where we are coming to you, once again, as we raise money to furnish our home. There will be a total of five bathrooms that will have only American toilets and hot showers, which the kids are so excited about. We’ll be purchasing beds, a couch, chairs, curtains, and everything else we need to make our PEACE HOUSE A HOME for our beautiful family.

100% of your donations will go toward this last phase of our home. Every donation is tax deductible. As we have shown for 24 years, every dollar counts. We are launching this campaign with a $2,000 matching donation, given to us by a dear friend who is challenging us to match her donation by July 15th. The total amount we need to raise is $15,000, so this match will get us off to a wonderful start. Once matched, we’ll be more than 25% of the way to our goal.

Together, we continue to prove that a song can educate a child, a dance can build a health center, and artists coming together can change lives by feeding,, clothing, housing and providing free health care to those in need.

Thank you,

Wendy and our entire Artists for World Peace Family
