2013 has been an exciting year!

The Third Annual Artists for World Peace on Broadway!

In an intimate evening of song and dance, some of Broadway’s best and brightest, the “cream of the crop … the top of the heap,” pool their talents to support the ongoing work of Artists for World Peace. Thank you to the seventeen amazing Broadway stars who came together at 54 Below and created this incredible evening. Artists for World Peace on Broadway 3 features dozens of New York stage-seasoned performers whose work ranges from Billy Elliot and Rock of Ages to Wicked and Mamma Mia!

All of the money raised from the Oct. 13 event will go directly toward the creation of safe houses and a chance for education for Indian women and girls who have been forced into the sex trade, according to Black-Nasta.

“Empower the girl so the woman that will be / can lead the next generation with hope and dignity,” according to the AFWP YouTube video.

The Second Annual Dance for Peace!

Dance for Peace, a benefit concert to support AFWP humanitarian programs, was a huge success! An evening featuring dance companies from Connecticut, Rhode Island, Boston, and New York City came together at the Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center & Theatre in Old Saybrook. Thank you to all our dancers and volunteers who helped make this a night to remember!
