Tanzania
On July 26 The International Peace Belt will be leaving for Tanzania with care takers Wendy Black-Nasta, Miles Nasta, and Katharine Clay. While there Artists for World Peace will be working with Good Hope Trust. We are fundraising to “Raise the Roof!” on a community health center, as well as to build a house for a family of orphans while we are there. If anyone would like to help us please contact our office (860) 347-4219. We are currently raising $7,000. for the roof and $4,000. for the house. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. We will also be collecting the following items to bring with us on our trip. To make a donation of any of these items, please contact us and we will make arrangements:
- sewing machines
- thread
- sewing scissors
- art supplies for the one room schoolhouse
- *markers, crayons, paints, canvas, sketchbooks, etc.
- lap top computers and printers
- ink for printers
