Our Third Child: Yu Zhangcheng
Progress Report for Summer 2006 from Half the Sky Foundation:
Zhangcheng can sit by herself and plays with all sorts of toys, climbs slowly to find the interesting toys, and holds a toy with each hand, knocking them together, but for the toys that she doesn’t like, she will pick up them and throw them away. She is very attached to me, likes to lean on my legs and play with toys or my clothes, and likes to stand on my knees holding hands and jumping. In the morning, when she finds me, she will stretch her hands out to me trying to be held in my arms, and phonate “ma, ma”. When talks to me, she uses her own words such as “du, du”. Seeing food, she will look at me dancing with joy. Next quarter I will pay more attention to improving her language ability and strengthening her legs.
