Apr. 2006Its premiere visit to Europe, the International Peace Belt was featured at Universidad Carlos III (Carlos III University) in Madrid, Spain on May 26. Belinda Jiménez González, professional dancer from Madrid and Flamenco instructor at Universidad Carlos III, wore the belt during the university’s fourth annual year-end dance performance. Inspired by the belt’s message of international unity, Jiménez González choreographed an original Flamenco dance piece which showcased the International Peace Belt. Jesse Nasta, son of Artist for World Peace Founder and Executive Director Wendy Black-Nasta, was the belt’s caretaker in Spain, where he attended Universidad Caros III in spring 2006.
